Texas Longhorns standout Madison Booker grew up in a household full of basketball support. Stephanie and Carlos Booker’s basketball careers have been instrumental in guiding their daughter, Madison.
Carlos, who played college basketball for Southern Miss, trained Madison as she grew up. The Booker family includes three athletes, and Madison Booker represents just one of three siblings, including Malia and Morgan.
During her freshman season, Booker was instrumental in leading Texas to the Elite Eight. Now, as a sophomore, she has been at the core of the Longhorns’ success, helping them advance through the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
In the first two rounds, she contributed 20 points on an efficient 17-for-29 shooting while securing a double-double with 14 rebounds in the opening matchup. As Texas, a No. 1 seed, prepares to face No. 2 seed TCU in the Elite Eight at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Ala., Booker remains a key player.
Her sophomore campaign has showcased her well-rounded skill set. In 35 games during the 2024-25 season, she averaged 16.4 points on 46.7% shooting, including 42.4% from three-point range.
She also recorded 6.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.6 steals per game. During her freshman year (2023-24), she posted similar numbers, averaging 16.5 points on 45.7% shooting with 5.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.5 steals per game across 37 starts.
