The Tennessee Titans will likely address their biggest need in the 2025 NFL draft with Thursday’s No. 1 overall pick.

After quarterback, Tennessee can add all across the roster including at receiver, defensive line, linebacker and in the secondary.

The Titans enter draft week with just two picks in the first two days of the draft, so the new front office will have to be efficient with the No. 35 overall pick and six Day 3 picks.

Analysis: There’s always a risk at No. 1 overall, given the pick is compared to any and every good player in the draft class. That risk is increased in the 2025 draft, where Ward is widely not considered as the No. 1 prospect in the class. If Chad Brinker, Mike Borgonzi and the Titans front office have made the correct pick, the Titans’ rebuild is accelerated. But Ward’s physical traits aren’t overwhelming, and it’ll take a pretty large step forward by everyone in the building (coaches and offensive teammates) for Ward to be his best self.
