Rory McIlroy Kisses Wife Erica Stoll Ahead of Masters Playoff

Rory McIlroy has won the Masters.

On April 13, McIlroy and Justin Rose went head to head in a Playoff Round following a tie after Round 4. As McIlroy walked to the clubhouse before heading to replay the 18th hole, he passed his wife, Erica Stoll, and their daughter, Poppy, 4, who were in the crowd. He bent down and kissed his daughter before sharing a kiss with his wife.

A short while later, McIlroy putted his way to a win. He took a moment on the green to soak in the moment before finding his wife and daughter nearby. He walked over and embraced Stoll, who was visibly emotional.

McIlroy’s Masters win secured him a career Grand Slam. He previously won the U.S. Open in 2011, the PGA Championship in 2012 and 2014, and the Open Championship in 2014. He has become the sixth golfer — alongside Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, and Tiger Woods — to ever complete the feat.

McIlroy and Stoll, who tied the knot in 2017, also shared a PDA moment during the Par-3 Contest earlier this week. In 2024, the two went through a rough period and even filed for divorce, but they were able to work things out.

“It’s been quite the year, but I’m super happy with where I am in my career and in my life, and I feel like everything’s worked out the way it was supposed to,” McIlroy told reporters in November 2024 (via CNN).
