Rob McElhenney sent a message to Wrexham shortly before they were due to kick-off against Stockport County.
The Red Dragons were looking to, for the second time in the space of a week, move back inside the automatic promotion places.
Wrexham beat second-place Wycombe Wanderers last weekend but were knocked back down to third when the Chairboys played their game in hand and secured a 3-2 win over Rotherham United on Tuesday.
However, as Wycombe do not line out again until March 29th, Saturday’s meeting was the perfect time for the Welsh outfit to pile some pressure on their closest rivals.
But as Rob McElhenney’s message made clear, picking up a victory at the Racecourse Ground has been easier said than done for the Hollywood-owned club in 2025.

When 2024/25 kicked off, Wrexham already had a remarkable record when playing at home.
After continuing it in the first six months of the season, the Red Dragons went 10 months without losing a single match in Wales.
However, their unbeaten run finally came to an end on January 28th, 2025, when they surprisingly lost to Stevenage.
Even more shockingly, Wrexham then lost their following home league fixture to Leyton Orient.
They have since drawn with Bolton Wanderers and beat Rotherham 1-0 at the Racecourse.
But ahead of such a crucial fixture in the race for promotion, McElhenney opted to take to social media shortly before kick-off to send a demand to Wrexham about making their ground a fortress once more.
He wrote: “Let’s get back to fortress Cae Ras, shall we?? @Wrexham_AFC”.
After Stockport, Wrexham have three more home fixtures to play in the 2024/25 season.
They are away to Exeter City next weekend before a trip to Cambridge United on April 1.
Their next home fixture comes against Burton Albion on April 5 with a 13-day break before they host Bristol Rovers.
Wrexham’s third and final home game of 2024/25 will come against fellow top-six side Charlton Athletic on April 26.
