Steph Curry was up to his usual antics in Game 1 of their first-round matchup against the Houston Rockets on Sunday night.
Thanks to another hot-shooting night from Curry, the Warriors were able to mount a sizable lead in the third quarter of the game. Golden State went up by as many as 23 points in the quarter, but the Rockets fought hard to get themselves back in the contest.
Houston ended the third with an incredible 17-3 run to bring down the lead to just nine points entering the final frame.
It was at one point in the third quarter that Curry made NBA history, though. This is after the former back-to-back MVP knocked down his 1,336th field goal in the postseason, thereby allowing him to climb the list for the all-time leaders in playoff field goals made.

The NBA made the historic announcement via X as the league congratulated Curry for his latest milestone.
“Congrats to @StephenCurry30 of the @warriors for moving up to 17th on the all-time playoff FIELD GOALS MADE list!” the NBA wrote.
Curry has now surpassed Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, who famously won six championships alongside the great Michael Jordan (third on the list) with the Chicago Bulls in the 90s.
Curry will aim to continue climbing the list this year as the Warriors look to make another deep playoff run. They can’t get ahead of themselves at this point, though, with the Rockets presenting themselves as a formidable first-round foe.
As of writing, the Warriors are up by just three points, 76-73, with six and a half minutes remaining in the game.
