LeBron James has been named the latest “Kenbassador,” making his first appearance on a Barbie Doll set for release later this month.

Priced at $75, pre-sale copies of the doll have already fetched more than $150 on eBay.

James joins athletes such as tennis legend Venus Williams and Australian soccer star Mary Fowler depicted by the Mattel brand, becoming the first male athlete to ever be featured on a Ken Doll.

In 2010, the Stefanie Canturi Barbie set a record for the most expensive ever sold when it cleared $300,000 at Christie’s.

A film based on Mattel’s IP, directed by Greta Gerwig and starring Margot Robbie, was the highest-grossing film of 2023, pulling in $1.4 billion at the box office.
