BALTIMORE – During the Yankees’ latest homer-happy inning, Jazz Chisholm Jr. left the game due to discomfort in his right side.
After four of the first five Yankees batters homered to open Tuesday night at Camden Yards, Chisholm Jr. felt something during his at-bat with one out in the first inning.
According to the Yankees, Chisholm Jr. was still being examined and was not yet scheduled to undergo tests.
Chisholm Jr. winced after fouling off a first-pitch delivery by Baltimore Orioles starter Kyle Gibson and was briefly attended to by an athletic trainer before resuming his time up.

Two pitches later, Chisholm Jr. lashed a double down the right field line and reached third base on an error by right fielder Ramon Laureano.
A moment later, Oswald Peraza pinch ran for Chisholm Jr. and replaced him at second base in the bottom of the first, with the Yankees leading 5-0 on homers by Trent Grisham, Aaron Judge, Ben Rice and Cody Bellinger and an RBI double by Anthony Volpe.
It marked the second time in 30 games this year that the Yankees had clubbed three straight homers to lead off a game, previously done March 29 against the Milwaukee Brewers‘ Nestor Cortes at Yankee Stadium.
