The word Kuna is a curious word to us Americans, but over in Croatia it is their country’s national animal, the name for a European Pine Marten (a formidable hunter in their own right), and even military units are named after the Kuna. To explain more about this new pistol that has entered the US, Springfield Armory has their press release statement below:
“The all-new Kuna™ from Springfield Armory® is a PDW built to deliver exceptional performance in a portable package. Its monolithic aluminum upper provides a durable frame, housing a roller-delayed operating system that dramatically reduces felt recoil. Fully ambidextrous, this feature-rich platform is available in 9mm and comes with two 30-round magazines. Precision manufactured for optimal fit and function the Kuna’s small profile, nimble handling and prolific capacity make it a fierce personal defense platform.”
