Playing at their home ground in Chandigarh against Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings suffered a dramatic batting collapse, getting bowled out for a paltry 111 runs. Having won the toss and elected to bat first, Punjab Kings managed to last only 15.3 overs.
Among the openers, Prabhsimran Singh scored 30 runs and Priyansh Arya contributed 22 runs. Captain Shreyas Iyer was dismissed for a duck. Nehal Wadhera made 10, Josh Inglis scored 2, and Glenn Maxwell added 7 runs, all of whom failed to make a significant impact. Towards the end, Shashank Singh scored 18 runs, which helped Punjab cross the 100-run mark.
