The casts of “The Beatles: A Four-Film Cinematic Event” boast several young in-demand actors.
Oscar nominee Paul Mescal will star as Paul McCartney.
The Irish actor, 29, rose to fame as Connell in the 2020 Hulu series “Normal People,” for which he was nominated for an Emmy. He was also nominated for the Academy Award for best actor for his performance as Calum in “Aftersun” (2022). His other films include “All of Us Strangers” (2023) and “Gladiator II” (2024).

English actor Harris Dickinson, 28, has been tapped to play John Lennon.
Dickinson, who most recently starred opposite Nicole Kidman in “Babygirl,” is also known for his roles in the films “The Iron Claw” (2023) and “Triangle of Sadness” (2022) and the TV series “A Murder at the End of the World” (2023). In 2017, he was nominated for best male lead at the Independent Spirit Awards for his performance in “Beach Rats.”
Joseph Quinn, another English actor who first burst onto the scene in the United States playing Eddie Munson in “Stranger Things,” has been cast as George Harrison.
Quinn is known for his roles in the films “A Quiet Place: Day One” and “Gladiator II” with Mescal. Quinn, 31, is also set to play Johnny Storm/The Human Torch in upcoming Marvel movies including “The Fantastic Four: First Steps.”

Finally, Irish actor Barry Keoghan, 32, an Oscar nominee for best supporting actor for his performance as Dominic Kearney in “The Banshees of Inisherin” (2022), will play Ringo Starr.
Keoghan is also known for his roles in the films “The Killing of a Sacred Deer” (2017), “Dunkirk” (2017) and “Saltburn” (2023).
Mescal, Dickinson, Quinn and Keoghan joined their director, Mendes, onstage at the Las Vegas announcement Monday. Mendes, who will direct the four Beatles biopics, won the Oscar for best director in 2000 for “American Beauty.”
All four of the Beatles movies are set to premiere in theaters in April 2028.
McCartney, 82, and Starr, 84, are the sole surviving members of the band.
Lennon was 40 years old when he was fatally shot by Mark David Chapman in New York in 1980. Harrison was 58 when he died in 2001 of cancer.
