Former Louisville women’s basketball star Hailey Van Lith, now with TCU, has reached another milestone in her collegiate career.
Van Lith, who is averaging 17.9 points and 5.5 assists per game, became the first Horned Frog to win the Big 12 Player of the Year award.
The graduate guard is the first player to make the Elite Eight with three different programs. Van Lith spent three seasons with the Cardinals, averaging 14.5 points, four rebounds and 2.8 assists per game.
In those three seasons, the Cardinals made three trips to the Elite Eight (2021-2023). The Cardinals reached the Final Four in 2022 before falling to South Carolina.
Van Lith averaged 11.6 points and 3.6 assists per game for LSU last season. The Tigers lost to Iowa in the Elite Eight.

Led by Van Lith, second-seeded TCU is playing in the Big Dance for the first time since the 2009-2010 season. Today, they will play in the Elite Eight for the first time in program history against Texas, the region’s top seed, at 7 p.m.
