David Hasselhoff’s ex-wife Pamela Bach has died by suicide at the age of 62 inside her $2.2 million Hollywood Hills, CA, home.

According to TMZ, Bach’s family members found her inside the Los Angeles property on March 5 with a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, and she was later pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.

Law enforcement sources told the outlet that the “Knight Rider” star’s loved ones “had not heard from her” and had visited the property after growing increasingly concerned about her well-being. TMZ notes that the home was locked upon their arrival.

Sources told the publication that no note was found on the scene.

“Baywatch” star Hasselhoff, 72, confirmed the news of his former spouse’s death in a statement to TMZ, saying: “Our family is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Pamela Hasselhoff. We are grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time, but we kindly request privacy as we grieve and navigate through this challenging time.”

According to property records, Bach had lived inside the 2,549-square-foot property for more than a decade, having purchased the three-bedroom, three-bathroom abode for $1.3 million back in 2009—three years after she and Hasselhoff split.

Realtor.com® now estimates that the two-story home, which was built in 1962, is worth just over $2.2 million.

The property regularly featured in social media posts shared by Bach, with images posted in December of her celebrating Christmas at the dwelling with her family—including daughters Hayley, 32, and Taylor, 34, who she shared with Hasselhoff.

Neither Hayley or Taylor have publicly commented on their mother’s passing; however, the former shared an old image of Bach and Hasselhoff on her Instagram Stories late on March 5, adding a white heart emoji.

Bach and Hasselhoff, who met on the set of “Knight Rider,” tied the knot in 1989 were married for 17 years before separating in 2006.

The former couple became embroiled in an acrimonious divorce battle over spousal support payments after their split, according to multiple reports.

In 2007, Bach told late night host Larry King that Hasselhoff’s drinking had been to blame for the split, while discussing a video that her daughter, Taylor, had taken of the actor lying drunk on the floor.

“I think that—I don’t think, I know—it is her cry for help because she sees there’s nothing else going to work,” Bach said of her daughter’s reasons for sharing the clip, according to the New York Post.

“As I have tried, thinking if I just pour out the bottles, if I just be by his side, if I just babysit him, give him more love, do more for him or make him see himself, it will get there. But the disease of alcoholism is cunning. It’s a baffling disease.”

When King asked if Hasselhoff’s “alcoholism” was the reason behind their split, the actress responded that “it was.”

More than 10 years after their split, Hasselhoff went on to marry model Hayley Roberts in 2018—however Bach is understood to have never remarried.

However, she became a grandmother for the first time in August 2024, when her daughter Taylor welcomed a baby girl named London.

At the time, Bach expressed her joy over the arrival of her “stunning, beautiful, perfect angel grandbaby” in an Instagram post, writing: “I’m beaming full of joy and happiness and [I’m] beyond grateful. I love you so much London Hasselhoff Fiore.”

Bach was a household name in the acting world, having appeared in the blockbuster film “Rumble Fish” in 1983 and making several appearances on various TV shows, including “Baywatch” in which she played Kaye Morgan for 10 years on the series.

She also starred in “Sirens,” “The Young and the Restless,” “The Fall Guy,” and “T.J. Hooker.”

Before tying the knot to Bach, Hasselhoff was married to Catherine Hickland from 1984 to 1986.
