Tory Horton injury and recovery

Horton returned to the Rams for the 2024 season to try and improve his draft stock, but the season didn’t go as hoped for Horton or CSU.

He was first hurt in the second game of the season against Northern Colorado. Horton attempted to return two weeks later to face rival Colorado. He played but was severely limited and finished with two catches for 24 yards.

Horton then didn’t play again for almost a month. He had 158 receiving yards in his next game (against Oregon State). A week later, he went down again with a knee injury that ended his season.

Horton did come on the field for a ceremonial final snap in the regular season finale but was limited to 26 catches for 353 yards in 2024.

He’s healthy now, though. Horton showed up at the NFL combine not expected to run, but made a last-minute audible and ran a 4.41-second 40-yard dash despite not being fully cleared. He held a pro day later in the spring after being medically cleared and showed his ability to cut and run routes.

He’s now full-go for NFL offseason workouts.
