Chipotle says people started to cut back on spending back in February

Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. started noticing back in February that people were cutting down on their Chipotle fixes.
Saving money because of concerns around the economy “was the overwhelming reason consumers were reducing the frequency of restaurant visits,” and that continued into April, Chief Executive Scott Boatwright told analysts on a call following Chipotle’s quarterly results late Wednesday.
