CLEVELAND, Ohio – Expect Browns-like parking and traffic restrictions in downtown Cleveland Saturday, as fans arrive to see one of the world’s all-time soccer greats play at Huntington Bank Field.
International legend Lionel Messi and his Inter Miami team will face the Columbus Crew in a Major League Soccer game starting at 4:30 p.m.
The city of Cleveland announced Thursday that the Municipal Lot will open at 10 a.m. and the Willard Garage on the north side of City Hall at 11:30 a.m. The rate will be $40.
Street parking restrictions begin at 10 a.m.
These restrictions will be on Lakeside, St. Clair and Superior avenues, plus East Ninth Street, West Ninth Street, West Third Street and additional streets surrounding the stadium.
Additionally at 1:30 p.m.:
- The West Third Street westbound ramp off of Ohio 2 (Shoreway) will be closed.
- West Third Street will be closed in both directions north of Lakeside Avenue, other than to allow access to The Pit parking lot and the Cuyahoga County lot.
- The East Ninth Street eastbound ramp from Ohio 2 will be closed.
- Westbound motorists exiting at East Ninth Street wishing to drive south will only be able to go as far the Willard and Jones Day garages.
