Coming off a 20-point loss to the Orlando Magic, the Boston Celtics returned home and got nearly all of their starters back from injury.
On Friday night, Jayson Tatum and the Celtics defeated the Charlotte Hornets 130-94. Jaylen Brown was the only player unavailable for Boston, still dealing with knee posterior impingement.
Coming into the game, Derrick White (262) was the only Celtics player to reach 250+ 3-pointers made on the season, but Tatum (247) and Pritchard (247) were not far behind.
In the win, Tatum finished the night with 16 points, hitting three from distance, while Pritchard added 22 points on 4-of-5 from long range. Both were able to reach 250 3-pointers made on the year.

In doing so, White (265), Pritchard (251) and Tatum (250) become the first trio of teammates to hit 250+ 3-pointers in the same season.
Shortly after the trio set the new record, the NBA reacted to the historic achievement with a post on X.
“History from beyond the arc for this @celtics trio! @jaytatum0 🎯 @paytonpritch3 🎯 @Dwhite921”
With only one game remaining in the regular season, it seems unlikely the Celtics will play all their starters in Sunday’s finale against the Hornets. But Brown’s lingering knee issue has become a cause for concern, holding him out for numerous games down the stretch.
The Celtics (60-21) are locked into the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference. Their first-round opponent will be the winner of the play-in game between the No. 7 and 8 seeds. As of Friday night, the Magic and Hawks will go head-to-head for a shot at the defending champs.
