Sky select Hailey Van Lith with the 11th pick (0:56)
The Chicago Sky take TCU star Hailey Van Lith with the 11th pick in the WNBA draft. (0:56)
Hailey Van Lith is headed to the Chicago Sky, and a former teammate of hers is eager to run it back.
The Sky selected Van Lith at No. 11 in the 2025 WNBA draft on Monday, reuniting her with Angel Reese. The two played together at LSU during the 2023-24 season.
The Tigers reached the Elite Eight that season, falling to Caitlin Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes. Van Lith then transferred to the TCU Horned Frogs, while Reese was selected by Chicago at No. 7 in last year’s WNBA draft.
With the Sky taking Van Lith in this draft, Reese expressed her excitement about being teammates with the guard again. Chicago also acknowledged the reunion with its own post.
We ain’t do it right the first time. Let’s run it backkkkk🫣 https://t.co/8PXLsHkUyN

Van Lith averaged 17.9 points per game with the Horned Frogs last season, again losing in the Elite Eight, this time to the Texas Longhorns.
Reese is coming off a campaign where she averaged 13.6 points and 13.1 rebounds per game. She finished second in Rookie of the Year voting behind Clark.
Reese and Van Lith will return to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, on May 2 as the Sky face the Brazilian national team in a preseason game at the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
