  • Mbappe gets the ball along the left, gets the ball and beats two Barca defenders. However, it is Szczesny who saves the blushes for his side again, which a crucial block.

  • Real Madrid goes for quick attack, with Bellingham getting a through ball from Ceballos. He tucks the ball in but the linesman raises the flag for off-side. The decision is confirmed further in a VAR check.
  • Madrid tries to stretch the defence with long crosses across the field and Inigo Martinez tries to stop the build-up and concedes a foul in the process.

  • Olmo tries to go for an attack from the midfield and Tchouameni makes a tackle from behind almost twisting the Spaniard’s leg. The referee shows the Frenchman a yellow card, the first of the game.

  • Cubarsi intercepts the ball from Bellingham, triggering a counterattack. He passes to Yamal on the right flank, who carries the ball into the final third and instead of threading a through ball, passes it sideways to Pedri, who finds the top-left corner.
  • Madrid looks to be playing with a five-man wall at the back when out of possession as Barca tries and tests for spaces to attack.
  • Suddenly, Madrid goes for another counter attack as it enters the Barce box. The ball reached Garcia on the far post but just when he is contained well by Kounde, who tracks back just in time.

  • Raphinha takes the free-kick after he is fouled by Vazquez and Kounde gets a free-header on it . The ball remains on target and Courtois meets it with equal quality pushing it out.
  • Yamal gets the ball along the right, drops his shoulder and takes a shot past Garcia. Rudiger thinks it is going wide and lets it pass but the ball curls and misses the woodwork by a whisker. 
  • Barca goes for a counter attack, but a cross for Ferran Torres in the centre is intercepted by Valverde, whose hand does hit the ball but the referee does not give a penalty.
  • Barcelona looks all over Madrid at the moment as Pedri gets the ball. He looks around, fails to see a single unmarked teammate and goes for goal, from distance, with Courtois catching it comfortably.
