SAN FRANCISCO — The Milwaukee Brewers open up a four-game set with the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park on Monday night.
Quinn Priester (1-0. 0.90 ERA) gets the start on the mound for the Brewers opposite San Francisco left-hander Robbie Ray (3-0, 4.19).
Giants come back to grab lead in sixth
Grant Anderson’s solid work out of the bullpen has landed him into leverage spots for manager Pat Murphy, but it didn’t continue into Monday. The right-hander left a first-pitch sinker over the middle of the plate that Wilmer Flores crushed to left for a go-ahead solo homer with two outs in the sixth.
Quinn Priester unable to work past four innings
Brewers right-hander Quinn Priester wasn’t able to deliver a third crisp outing in as many starts since being acquired. He allowed four walks through four-plus innings Monday, facing two batters in the fifth inning but allowing both to reach.

Priester battled enough to only allow two runs, though, with some help from Nick Mears who escaped the fifth the game still tied.
Caleb Durbin picks up his first home run, then makes spectacular play
It takes a lot to get a ball out at night in San Francisco, and Caleb Durbin got just enough of one for his first career home run.
Durbin connected with a 1-0 fastball from Robbie Ray in the top of the second inning and sent it out to left field for a two-run blast to open the scoring.
San Francisco got one back in a bizarre bottom of the second. Quinn Priester walked two as he struggled with his command early, shortstop Joey Ortiz turned down an easy out at first base for an ill-advised attempt to throw behind the runner at second on a ground ball and William Contreras then threw out his second attempted base stealer of the night.
And that wasn’t even all. On a Patrick Bailey two-out single, Jackson Chourio had a chance to throw out the slow-footed Heliot Ramos at home but delivered a poor throw home. The Brewers right fielder, though, then partially made up for it with a diving catch for the third out to save two runs from scoring.
Durbin then showcased some deft glove work in the bottom of the third, making a diving stop of a Willy Adames one-hop rocket behind the bag at third, sprawling to his feet and throwing to first for the out.
