COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — Hilliard attorney Steven Hoying, an Ohio State Marching Band alumnus, is the new “Jeopardy!” champion.
Hoying defeated six-day champion Andrew Hayes, a Mississippi law student, and Philadelphia physics professor Michelle Dolinski to win $29,403.
He correctly answered “Who is Doctor Dolittle?” to the question, “This character’s efforts in Africa to end an epidemic killing monkeys inspired Jane Goodall to do something similar.”
Hoying is slated to compete against Cuyahoga Falls grad student Rachael Gray and Illinois undergraduate student Liam Starnes in Friday’s episode.
