  3. Arsenal’s Leandro Trossard, speaking to Sky Sports: “I think it was a great game overall. We had a lot of chances and in the end scored four, so well done to everyone.
  4. “It is important for ourselves. We don’t need to look at them [Liverpool] we just have to keep going like this and take it game by game.
  5. “We want to win every game but we know how tough it is in the league. A good win today and we just need to keep pushing going forward.
  6. “It is nice to be on the scoresheet again and helping the team to get a win.
  7. “We are there for a reason, we have been doing very well in the Champions League. We have to keep believing.”

  9. How funny will it be when Spurs play Utd in the Europa League final as 16th and 14th respectively.
  10. FT: Man Utd 0-1 Wolves
  11. Curtis Davies
  12. Former Premier League defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra
  13. It was an amazing free-kick by Pablo Sarabia and the game deserves that bit of quality. A great win for Wolves.
  14. FT: Fulham 1-2 Chelsea
  15. Chelsea
  16. Chelsea winger Pedro Neto: “I think it could be a big part of the season for us. We showed character. To be honest, I have no words.
  17. “It is not easy to spend all season in the top four and we were out before this game. The character the team showed, we now need to think about Everton.”
  18. On his goal: “When I received the ball, I just span around and shot as hard as I can. The ball went in. The first one, Leno did an unbelievable save and I was so frustrated that the second one I had to put all the power into the shot.”
  19. On the fans: “The fans don’t have the notion of the part they do for the club. Today at the end is what we need from them. They play a big part for the team. On the pitch, we understand that sometimes they are upset with us. But with them we are stronger.”
  20. On Tyrique George: “What a finish it was. He has been working with us for a while. Today he showed what he can do, he scored a beautiful goal and we go from that.”
  21. On top five hopes: “The belief has always been there, even in the bad moments. Sometimes in this game it is not about the quality, it’s about the spirit and that’s what we showed today – and I think we deserved to win.”

  27. On five straight Premier League wins for Wolves: “I think this team needed a change. With Vitor [Pereira], something changed. The most important thing is that the players are very happy on the pitch and because of this it is possible to do the best on the pitch.”

  29. It’s painful to see Arsenal have 12 draws in the league. That’s the reason we’re not competing for the league anymore. A top striker and maybe one more attacking addition will be enough to turn a lot of those draws into wins for next season!
  30. FT: Fulham 1-2 Chelsea
  31. The race for the Champions League positions could hardly be tighter after that stunning late goal from Pedro Neto.
  32. It means just two points separate Newcastle in third and seventh-placed Aston Villa.
  33. Any lingering hopes Fulham may have had of muscling their way into that conversation now look to be over, though. They’re now nine points behind Chelsea in fifth with just five games to play.
  34. Marco Silva’s side need to finish the season strong and start backing the other English sides in the European competitions to boost their own chances of playing in Europe next season.
  35. FT: Man Utd 0-1 Wolves

  40. There will be plenty of talk about Manchester United losing but let’s have a word for Wolves.
  41. Vitor Pereira’s side continue their best top-flight winning run since January 1972 as they make it five consecutive victories.
  42. They last had a longer winning streak in the top division in September/October 1970 (six in a row).
  43. FT: Ipswich 0-4 Arsenal
  44. Matt Upson
  45. Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
  46. The biggest compliment I can give Arsenal this afternoon is that they have played this game in the same tempo and mindset right from the first whistle to winning 4-0.
  47. Mikel Arteta has barely had to pass on any messages to his players on the pitch. It’s as if this team now understand the requirements and they are delivering them.

  72. We’re into the first of four minutes of added time.
  73. Ipswich 0-4 Arsenal
  74. Matt Upson
  75. Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
  76. Arsenal’s goals have been all very similar this afternoon.
  77. That all boils down to the fact that Ipswich have been just a yard off of everything. That in itself is something that can be avoided and it’s the frustrating part about their performance.
  78. Man Utd 0-1 Wolves
  79. That is Matheus Cunha’s last contribution.
  80. Nasser Djiga replaces him.

  85. What a hit. Great play by Chelsea, forward thinking. Cole Palmer at the heart of it. Pedro Neto drifting inside and picking up the ball. What a turn and finish – that is so difficult to do.

  5. Ethan Nwaneri (88 mins)
  6. Arsenal have a late fourth!
  7. It will go down as Ethan Nwaneri’s goal but his strike deflects heavily off two Ipswich players and Alex Palmer had no chance in goal.
  8. Pedro Neto (90+3 mins)
  9. Image source, Reuters
  10. What a goal! Chelsea have surely won it now!
  11. Pedro Neto with a rocket of a shot on the spin to finish off a lovely move from the visitors.
  12. He’s been Chelsea’s best player this afternoon and, if anyone deserved to be their match-winner, it was him.
  13. Cole Palmer slid the ball wide to Enzo Fernandez, who fizzed it across to Neto. One touch, spin and hammered high past Bernd Leno with his left foot.

  32. Fulham have sent on Adama Traore and Carlos Vinicius as they attempt to retake the lead.
  33. Alex Iwobi and Raul Jimenez have made way.

  35. Ipswich 0-3 Arsenal
  36. There’ll be no hat-trick for Leandro Trossard as he is replaced by Nathan Butler-Oyedeji.

  8. It runs to Tyrique George who thumps a low shot into the bottom corner from just outside the box. Lovely goal, his first in the Premier League – and it could be a big one for Chelsea.
  9. Man Utd 0-1 Wolves

  40. Declan Rice played a lovely little reverse ball into Leandro Trossard and George Hirst, back defending, just does not have that instinct to really get out and block that angle. The shot goes right through the legs of Hirst and into the bottom corner.
  41. That just tells you that you can have as many players inside the box as you want, But if you do not get the right kind of approach, angle and distance – all of those fine details at this level, that’s what matters.
  42. Bodies in there don’t have the effect. You have to be in the right spot.

  64. Image source, Getty Images
  65. A second for Leandro Trossard!
  66. He’s onside as the ball is worked to him inside the box by Declan Rice and he turns, makes a bit of space for himself from the defender and sends a shot into the back of the net.
  67. A scoreline now that reflects Arsenal’s dominance.
  68. Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

  21. However, with just under half an hour to go, there is plenty of time for that to change.
  22. Fulham 1-0 Chelsea
  23. Fulham win a corner and Andreas Pereira’s delivery drops kindly for Kenny Tete.
  24. The defender hooks an effort goalwards but there is a blue shirt in the way.

  26. Man Utd 0-0 Wolves
  27. Curtis Davies
  28. Former Premier League defender on BBC Radio 5 Sports Extra
  29. The best bit of play we have seen from Manchester Untied. Inches away from Rasmus Hojlund’s studs.
  30. The title is wrapped up, and the relegation is wrapped up. Is this a symptom of what the Premier League has been this season?
  31. The only fight we have got left is the top five and who gets into those European places.
  32. Man Utd 0-0 Wolves
  33. Oh Rasmus Hojlund.
  34. Another chance goes begging.
  35. Alejandro Garnacho puts a low ball into the box and Hojlund slides in but he just can’t connect with it.

  37. Anybody talking about Fulham being six points from a Champions League place? Marco Silva has done a great job since he’s been there.
  38. Is it me or do I think Maresca could be sacked before the end of the season? The owners want to do well in the Club World Cup and I can’t see it happening with Marseca in charge.
  39. I just don’t get what Maresca does in training all week? Forget about plan B, there’s no plan A!

  48. Don’t bring Bruno on. Wrap him up in cotton wool and unleash him on Bilbao.
  49. I watched Derby v Luton the other day which was one of the worst games I’ve seen in a while. If you weren’t familiar with the Championship table you could naturally guess they were both relegation contenders. The same could be said for this Man Utd v Wolves match. Utter garbage.
  50. Ipswich 0-2 Arsenal
  51. Matt Upson
  52. Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
  53. It’s a good run and good centre-forward play from George Hirst. He’s been starved of service and the Ipswich fans have been starved of any action to get them excited.

  6. I’m not one for calling for the head of the manager at the first sign of trouble. But Maresca looks like a man who’s totally lost. The players either can’t play as he wants them to, or they don’t believe in his system. Either way, this looks like a dead team walking.
  7. Man Utd 0-0 Wolves
  8. It surely won’t be long before Bruno Fernandes enters the field.
  9. Manchester United are missing their captain’s creativity.

  20. Fulham 1-0 Chelsea
  21. Big chance for Chelsea!
  22. Enzo Fernandez’s cross is blocked but he gets the ball back, plays it low into Nicolas Jackson, who lays it off for Pedro Neto.
  23. The winger just has Bernd Leno to beat but the Fulham keeper makes himself big and just about keeps out the shot.
  24. Man Utd 0-0 Wolves
  25. Rasmus Hojlund is bearing down on goal and he should get his shot away but he takes too long and a last ditch tackle stops him in his tracks.

  27. Fulham 1-0 Chelsea
  28. Jen Beattie

  35. That half-time team talk from Enzo Maresca needs to provoke a reaction if Chelsea care about qualification for the Champions League.
  36. They can’t really afford to lose and Levi Colwill and assistant manager Willy Caballero were encouraging intensity from the rest of the team with their hand gestures after coming back out onto the pitch.
  37. Malo Gusto has come on for Reece James, in a change which might have been pre-planned, with Jadon Sancho on for Noni Madueke in a change that was unlikely to have been discussed prior to kick-off.
  38. Ipswich 0-2 Arsenal
  39. Arsenal pick up from where they left off in the first half as some neat play down the left ends with Martin Odegaard’s low ball being pushed behind by Alex Palmer.

  42. Chelsea break after a quickly taken free-kick and Nicolas Jackson is in acres of space space down the left.

  45. Jorgen Strand Larsen’s cross is intended for Marshall Munetsi but he gets it wrong and Andre Onana catches.

  57. We won’t sneak this one. We play worse with Cunha on the pitch. We are defending well, but I can’t see us holding on. It was a bad omen when Sa was suddenly changed last minute. I just have the feeling we will lose.
  58. Ipswich 0-2 Arsenal

  2. How is Maresca still in a job? Same old, same old every week. Clueless!
  3. Dave, disgruntled Chelsea fan
  4. Chelsea are in the game, but Fulham are just sharper and winning more of the second balls. Chelsea need to move that ball quicker, but seem lost for creative ideas in that last third.
  5. Since Christmas Chelsea’s form has been one of a team in a relegation battle. We were definite top four finishers at Christmas, but it seems the Conference League beckons again.

  10. On Leif Davis’ red card after tackle on Bukayo Saka…
  11. When the player raises his hand like that when he hits the ground, you feel like it is really bad. Because Bukayo Saka’s ankle was at a slight angle when the stamp came in and it’s never nice to have that, when your foot is planted in a vulnerable position.
  12. And he was in a vulnerable position when that stamp and force cam down on him. And I think that it was a deciding factor for the referee and VAR when they looked at it. It could have done something worse, but it looks like he is OK.
  13. Fulham 1-0 Chelsea
  14. Good ball in by Enzo Fernandez but Levi Colwill can’t convert.
  15. Chelsea are awarded a corner, though, despite Fulham’s protestations. Nothing comes of it.
  16. Fulham 1-0 Chelsea
  17. Quick start from Chelsea and Pedro Neto, who has switched to the right for this second half, wins a free-kick in line with the edge of the penalty area.
  18. Can the Blues make something of it?
  19. Man Utd 0-0 Wolves
  20. The second half begins at Old Trafford.
  21. Fulham 1-0 Chelsea
  22. We’re back under way at Craven Cottage. Chelsea have 45 minutes to try and turn this one around and boost their Champions League qualification hopes.

  27. Poor first half at Old Trafford. Not many sights at goal and a really dour attempt by both sides. Hopefully Wolves can come out fighting in the second half – we have only won once in the last 13 attempts at Old Trafford, but something tells me that we could sneak this one.
  28. Rasmus Hojlund can complain about lack of service, but I think his teammates don’t trust him. His movements is awful and ball control a disaster. Time to give Obi a chance!
  29. As usual, Hojlund is getting no service.

  31. Do people actually think that that tackle is acceptable on a football field? The ones saying it’s only a yellow just amaze me. A challenge like that can never be allowed to just be a yellow. So many players will get injured and start to think it’s acceptable to tackle like that knowing they will pretty much get away with it.
  32. Have look at Tarkowski’s tackle on McAllister in the Merseyside derby and then explain why that was a yellow and Davis’s is ‘clearly’ a red.
  33. I was surprised that was a red card, but then seeing a replay seeing how Davis had zero intent of playing the ball, it’s a clear red.
  34. HT: Fulham 1-0 Chelsea
  35. We’ll await confirmation but given they’re both stripped and ready to go, it looks like Malo Gusto and Jadon Sancho will be coming on for Chelsea.

  38. Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
  39. I rarely say a game is over at half-time, but this feels very much like it – unless there is some swashbuckling performance from Ipswich in the second half and I can’t see it at all.
  40. Their left-hand side have been very badly exploited by Arsenal in the first half. Every time Bukayo Saka has had the ball at his feet, he tormented them and he has probably done it at 75% of his capacity.
  41. HT: Man Utd 0-0 Wolves
  42. Rasmus Hojlund’s involvement in that first half can be summed up by the fact he had just eight touches.

  58. They are 1-0 down at Craven Cottage in a game that captain Reece James described as “must win” on Thursday night.

  67. The LCD boards around Old Trafford were just advertising Manchester United’s two-match post-season trip to Asia.
  68. As soon as their final Premier League game of the season is over, they head out to Malaysia and Hong Kong to play local opposition.
  69. I suspect the enthusiasm for that trip among Ruben Amorim’s squad will very much depend on whether they have won the Europa League the week before.
  70. Fulham 1-0 Chelsea

  72. Vital header behind from Marc Cucurella with Joachim Andersen looking set to get a free header on an Andreas Pereira free-kick.
  73. Referee Anthony Taylor then blows the half-time whistle before the corner can be taken, much to Fulham’s frustration.

  10. If that’s the new standard for a red card, there would have been several games this season that should have ended as a seven-a-side.
  11. Not sure what tackle Andy (at 14:40) was looking at, but definitely a red. It was high and dangerous.
  12. Not biased, I’m a Chelsea fan

  15. Chelsea won’t get any form from Europe via the Conference League. They are not good enough, while teams around and above are all in form. Conference League is our only hope, and even that feels a slim chance on current form.
  16. Tim, miserable Chelsea fan
  17. No one seems to have worked out that Cole Palmer’s best form has been at right wing where he has space to cut in. He is easily sniffed out of space as a 10. I thoroughly expect Chelsea to finish outside the top eight, but I can’t see where their next points come from.

  34. The Blues away end are again chanting “attack, attack, attack” but when they do break the press then they look threatening. However, those chances to attack are all too few and far between.
  35. Fulham 1-0 Chelsea
  36. Andreas Pereira has not been shy of a tackle in this first half.
  37. He gives Trevoh Chalobah a bit of a shove as a long ball goes through to Chelsea keeper Robert Sanchez – the Chelsea defender is not best pleased with that.
  38. Pereira then snaps into Moises Caicedo to give away a free-kick.

  70. As a Chelsea fan, he won’t be too happy with what he’s seen so far in this first half.
  71. Ipswich 0-2 Arsenal

  10. I can totally understand the red card when you break down that tackle. It’s so intentional.
  11. That’s actually very poor from Leif Davis. You hurt a player and you have made no attempt to go anywhere near the ball.
  12. Fulham 1-0 Chelsea
  13. Chelsea are beginning to put the squeeze on Fulham now, keeping them penned inside their own half.
  14. The home side aren’t helping themselves with some sloppy passing when they do win the ball back.

  46. Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
  47. It’s just too good from Arsenal and too passive from Ipswich.
  48. They had to deal with it better but it’s lovely play from Leandro Trossard. He lifted hte ball over for Bukayo Saka but Jacob Greaves shows far too much of the line to him. No centre-back likes to be in that position and Saka says thank you very much.
  49. Man Utd 0-0 Wolves
  50. Andre is booked for a late challenge where he caught Manuel Ugarte on the ankle.
  51. Fulham 1-0 Chelsea

  61. Arsenal are cruising to victory and that also means as things stand Liverpool can’t win the title.
  62. Fulham 1-0 Chelsea
  63. Fulham break swiftly, the Chelsea defence is all over the place but Ryan Sessegnon’s cross is turned behind for a corner.

  70. This game has been incredibly one-sided. Ipswich are getting around the pitch and you can see there is intent there, but they are just a yard off all the time.
  71. We spoke about whether Mikel Arteta was going to rest his players. But at hte moment, this is a lovely game for them. These players can tick through the motions as they are not under any pressure at all.

  17. Let’s face it, the start of this game could not offer a bigger contrast to the frenzied ending of Thursday night.
  18. Part of the problem from a Manchester United perspective is that, aside from the occasional long pass from Christian Eriksen, Manchester United have no creative spark without Bruno Fernandes.
  19. Fernandes is always looking forward, seeing what situations he can exploit, without him, United are reliant on Rasmus Hojlund’s strength and a Wolves error.

  26. Wolves have played more balls over the tops into the spaces and that’s where you should go against a changed back three.
  27. Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

  39. Farcical from Ipswich. Sunday League stuff!
  40. The gap between the Premier league and Championship is vast. It is very difficult for Ipswich to compete with Arsenal.
  41. I get Ipswich are wanting to try play football like their manager wants, but how naive are they? How much space did Odegaard have when he received that ball in build-up to our goal? No one was near him.

  46. It seemed like the chance was over to be honest, but Martin Odegaard is picking up such intelligent positions on this pitch. He peels to the right-hand side, races forward with the ball and feeds it to Bukayo Saka, who crosses in for Leandro Trossard.
  47. It’s a bizarre goal to concede but that goal is all about Odegaard for me.
  48. Fulham 0-0 Chelsea
  49. Chelsea have picked up in the past five minutes and are starting to get some joy down their left with Pedro Neto.

  58. Leandro Trossard (14 mins)

  60. It has been coming!
  61. Arsenal have had 89% possession in the opening stages of this game and they deservedly take the lead when Martin Odegaard breaks forward, he passes to Bukayo Saka on the right and his cutback is helped on by the slightest of touches by Odegaard for Leandro Trossard to prod in.
  62. Poor defending from Ipswich really, but Arsenal are good value for their lead.
  63. Man Utd 0-0 Wolves

  38. Alex Iwobi at the back stick is offside, but it’s a confidence booster for Fulham.
  39. You can see Iwobi’s frustration. It was great interlinking play, dropping off and then playing in-behind. Positive from Fulham early on.

  43. Arsenal haven’t been rattled in possession at all here so far. Their start has been extremely smooth. It’s a very confident passage of passing from Mikel Arteta’s side at the moment.
  44. Fulham 0-0 Chelsea
  45. Fulham have the ball in the back of the net but the offside flag is up.
  46. Andreas Pereira stabbed it home from close range but there looked to be at least two offsides in the build-up.

  50. The first thing to note at Old Trafford is that Wolves have made a late change to their starting line-up.
  51. Goalkeeper Jose Sa, who was due to start, has dropped out of the side due to injury.
  52. Dan Bentley will replace him for his first Premier League start of the season.

  71. It is a really bright, sunny Easter Sunday on the River Thames for this Fulham versus Chelsea match at Craven Cottage.
  72. Arguably no stadium in the Premier League has a better walk from the train station to ground than this one and fans were out early soaking in the atmosphere.
  73. Chelsea’s support has been under the microscope in recent weeks – amid Enzo Maresca’s comments that they need to be louder at Stamford Bridge – but the away fans usually are good in this west London derby.
  74. A big match for both teams that are in pursuit of Europe with six games left to play.

  3. Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca speaking to BBC Sport about bidding to end his side’s eight-game winless run on the road in the Premier League:
  4. “For sure, away, it is a bad run and if we want to reach our target, we need some wins away. We have played more than one game that we deserved to win [during that run] but we didn’t win – Palace, Brentford, for me many games. But it is important to create chances and hopefully we can start to be more clinical.
  5. “There are six Premier League games to go and all of them are important – they are games we have to try to win and hopefully we can reach our target.”
  6. On losing the reverse fixture 2-1 at Stamford Bridge in December: “I still remember the game and I watched it back in the last two or three days – in the last 15-20 minutes we conceded [territory] too much but for 70 minutes we were in control, scored a goal, created chances.
  7. “But this is a different game and hopefully we can win today.”

  14. Arsenal
  15. Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta speaking before facing Ipswich Town on squad rotation: “It’s all for different reasons. Some players could not start again because we have only had few days after the Real Madrid game and these players fit well with the game that we expect today.
  16. “We have analysed everything with the medical department and related to what we need to win the game against Ipswich.”
  17. On the importance of upcoming league games: “Very important. Now we have to focus on the Premier League. We need to show the consistency, determination and quality to come here and win the game. The performances were there before, but some results slipped away from us. But that’s the Premier League and I know this is also going to be a tough game.”
  18. On Ipswich: “I think they are very consistent in the way they play and I know how they have made it difficult for their opponents. They are vey well organised and very well coached.”

  20. Frank Sinclair
  21. Former Chelsea defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
  22. With the way the season started it was so promising for Chelsea.
  23. It would be a disaster if they didn’t finish in the top four – that’s always been the target. At the beginning of the season you would have said Chelsea were real genuine challengers.
  24. get involved#bbcfootball, via WhatsApp on 03301231826 or text 81111 (UK only, standard message rates apply)
  25. I disagree with Matt Upson, and I don’t support Ipswich. I think it’s been a really positive two years for the club and with parachute payments and the sale of Delap, who has improved at Portman Road, they can develop the whole squad under one of the best young managers in the game. They’ll be back soon and stronger for this season.
  26. Ipswich v Arsenal (14:00 BST)
  27. Julien Laurens

  29. Arsenal took the lead 25 times in the Premier League this season and won 17 of them. So there are those eight draws and that’s 16 points they’ve lost from winning positions.
  30. That’s the difference. I don’t think the difference is the lack of goals, Kai Havertz not doing well or signing Alexander Isak or whoever you want.
  31. It’s the game management in matches where you were in charge and you were in control, including the one against Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium, where they were by far the better side but ended up drawing 2-2.
  32. Those eight games were you are winning and end up drawing, that is the difference [in the title race with Liverpool].
  33. Fulham v Chelsea (14:00 BST)
  34. Image source, Getty Images
  35. This is the 40th season in which Fulham and Chelsea have met in the league and in that time the Craven Cottage club have never done the double over their local rivals.
  36. After their dramatic 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge on Boxing Day, they have a chance to right that wrong this afternoon.
  37. But given Chelsea have won five of their past six Premier League games at the Cottage, Fulham fans would be forgiven for not getting too excited about that prospect just yet.
  38. get involved#bbcfootball, via WhatsApp on 03301231826 or text 81111 (UK only, standard message rates apply)
  39. Arsenal are an excellent side and I agree with those who think that the 13-point gap is a little false. They’ve been unfortunate with the fixture list and injuries, but in recent seasons both of those things went their way and they didn’t take advantage. Slot has been given nowhere near enough credit for this season. It’s his first in English football and we’re talking about potentially the earliest title win second only to Klopp’s 2019-20 side, who won 26 of the first 27 games and were the best I’ve ever seen. This is Arteta’s fifth full season at Arsenal and he’s never passed the 90 point mark.

  43. We all know Ruben Amorim’s defensive formation relies on three ball-playing central defenders, with energetic wing-backs either side.
  44. In the warn-up drills in front of me, Tyler Fredricson is being used on left of the three, with skipper Victor Lindelof in the middle. Harry Amass is at left wing-back.
  45. It will be fascinating to see how the Amass-Fredricson combination works in a Premier League game.
  46. This is a huge challenge.

  48. No way Chelsea get anything today. They don’t merit Champions League football and they will not finish in the top five. Liverpool, Arsenal, City, Newcastle and Villa will be the Premier League clubs in the best club competition next season. Real Betis will also beat Chelsea in the final of the Conference League!
  49. A very disillusioned Chelsea fan
  50. Ipswich v Arsenal (14:00 BST)
  51. Matt Upson
  52. Former Arsenal defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
  53. On Ipswich Town’s relegation battle…
  54. What comes across [when fighting relegation] is that it is a horrible time in your career. It’s looming. It’s negative.
  55. Rising above that, giving your best by shutting off what is happening, turn up on the matchday and put up a performance that is worthy of what you can do – if you can do that and you give your best, it’s a win.
  56. Every club that go through that, there’s something underlying that is wrong and you feel it grow. You don’t get over it – be it the players or the coaching staff.
  57. But players can ultimately control their own performance level. That’s the bit you have to focus and that is the hard thing. Perhaps if you can do that, it can have a knock-on effect.
  58. Man Utd v Wolves (14:00 BST)

  60. While Manchester United dramatically secured their place in the Europa League semi-finals late on Thursday night, there has been less to shout about in their league campaign.
  61. The Red Devils are 14th in the league and have lost 14 games this season, equalling their total from last season; last losing more league games in 1989-90 (16).
  62. On 38 points and with six games to go, they are guaranteed their lowest points total in the Premier League era even if they end the season on a six game winning run, with 58 in 2021-22 their current lowest.
  63. get involved#bbcfootball, via WhatsApp on 03301231826 or text 81111 (UK only, standard message rates apply)
  64. Everyone bangs on about Reece James, but he can’t string games together so we don’t know if he has the capacity to play consistently at the top level. Despite that, he’s continuously lorded as England’s right-back. To be a top player you need to face adversity like Trent Alexander-Arnold has; once he has and when he becomes a player constantly under the media’s glare, we can consider him a great player.

  69. I don’t think there’s anything that Declan Rice can’t do in that area. He’s becoming so well-rounded.
  70. He is adding all these things to his game and it is starting to make him world-class and Arsenal are benefitting from it.
  71. Ipswich v Arsenal (14:00 BST)
  72. Alex Howell
  73. BBC football news reporter at Portman Road
  74. Mikel Arteta’s team selection today could be partly down to the fact that Arsenal are going to be without midfielder Thomas Partey for the Champions League semi-final games with PSG.
  75. The midfielder is going to miss the first leg through suspension, so Arteta needs to look for an answer for who is going to play in the number 6 role in those huge matches.
  76. Declan Rice has excelled in the number eight role and won player of the match in both of the wins over Madrid but is probably the best suited to take on that role, as it is one he has done throughout his career.
  77. Jorginho probably would have played today but he picked up an injury in the draw with Brentford.
  78. Man Utd v Wolves (14:00 BST)
  79. Simon Stone
  80. BBC Sport’s chief football news reporter at Old Trafford
  81. There is an air of sadness around Manchester United today as the club comes to terms with the passing of Joe Thompson, whose death was announced by his family on Friday.
  82. Thompson was a former Manchester United academy player and while his professional career took him away from Old Trafford, he returned post retirement and was a familiar face around the club, where he worked with the Foundation and did other media work.
  83. He also played in the annual media game – where he put a lot of media to shame with his performances.
  84. Thompson was only 36 and leaves behind a wife and two young children.
  85. Fulham v Chelsea (14:00 BST)
  86. There is something not right at Chelsea.
  87. They drew at home to Ipswich last week, for example. I laughed when I saw my guest, Yizzy, had put the Tractor Boys down to get a point but that ended up being the result that killed me.
  88. From what boss Enzo Maresca has said since then, by asking the fans to trust him and saying the players are affected by the crowd, everyone seems to be feeling the pressure.
  89. He was questioning the fans, but also his players’ temperament. If you think about how many millions have been spent on that squad, then if they don’t have the strength of character to play the way their manager wants, then heaven help them in the long run.
  90. This is probably going to be another score draw but I seem to get Fulham wrong whatever I say.
  91. They deserved to get something from their defeat at Bournemouth on Monday, and I am going with them to get a repeat of their win at Stamford Bridge in December.
  92. Sutton’s prediction: 2-1

  96. Man Utd v Wolves (14:00 BST)
  97. Wolves have already beaten Manchester United once this season and, on current form, they are favourites this time too.
  98. Vitor Pereira’s side are flying with four straight wins, and we know how inconsistent United are.
  99. I am going to give Bruno Fernandes a goal, because he has been one of the few United players who can hold their head up high with their performances this season, but at the moment Wolves look well-balanced, and they are the better team.
  100. United’s whole campaign is still hanging on what happens in the Europa League and we will have to wait and see whether their incredible late comeback to beat Lyon on Thursday to reach the semi-finals changes anything about their awful Premier League form.
  101. I am sorry to say this but I am expecting their fans to have another miserable afternoon at Old Trafford, where they have already lost more league games (seven) than they have won (six) this season.
  102. Sutton’s prediction: 1-3
  103. Fulham v Chelsea (14:00 BST)
  104. Frank Sinclair
  105. Former Chelsea defender on BBC Radio 5 Live
  106. I’m a huge fan of Marco Silva at Fulham. When Fulham played Chelsea in their first game Chelsea were in their best form.
  107. I’m not confident Chelsea are going to get the result they’re going to need. Cole Palmer has been quiet, they’re struggling to get him into games.
  108. It’s going to be a difficult game.

  2. Arsenal will be on such a high after their Champions League win over Real Madrid.
  3. I am covering this game and the Gunners will still have too much nous for Ipswich.
  4. It probably summed up Ipswich’s season that they went 2-0 up against Chelsea last time out and could not see out the win, but they deserve credit for giving it a good go.
  5. Ipswich were pretty stubborn when they lost 1-0 at Emirates Stadium in December and I am expecting them to show some resilience this time too, even if they end up with the same result.

  10. There was some surprise that Ipswich striker Liam Delap was on the bench for Kieran McKenna’s side.
  11. However, the Ipswich manager has given an update and says that Delap is carrying an injury from a previous match.
  12. “He has a nasty rib injury from the Wolves game. He has done well to make himself available but still not playing free. He is manageable to come off the bench but not to start,” McKenna said.

  17. Tyler Fredricson is a local lad from south Manchester, who would have been part of the club’s 2022 FA Youth Cup victory were it not for the injury that ruled him out of the final after he featured in all the previous rounds.
  18. He was on the bench for the Champions League encounter with Real Sociedad in 2022 but Erik ten Hag opted against handing the youngster his debut.
  19. He featured in two EFL Trophy games earlier this season, including a 4-1 defeat at Huddersfield.
  20. It is fair to say this is a huge step up for the youngster.

  26. Following their 2-0 win on Boxing Day, Wolves are aiming to complete their first league double over Manchester United since 1979-80.
  27. Victory for Wolves in this game would put them level on points with Manchester United in the Premier League table with 38 apiece.
  28. Ahead of Vitor Pereira’s first game in charge on 22 December, they trailed the Red Devils by 13 points.
  29. Wolves’ progress under Pereira is further highlighted by the fact they have won their last four Premier League games, their best top-flight winning run since January 1972.

  33. Reece James’ presence in the line up is curious but also shows how important this match is for Chelsea.
  34. Manager Enzo Maresca has previously said that the captain can only play one game a week but here he is after facing Legia Warsaw in midweek.
  35. Simply, this is the best XI Fulham and Chelsea have to offer at this stage of the season when they are battling for European qualification.

  42. Harry Maguire and Bruno Fernandes were among those on the bench, with Luke Shaw ‘rested’ and missing out altogether.

  47. If Arsenal were to win the Champions League and get over that mental hurdle of winning something, Mikel Arteta would be immensely appreciated.
  48. Obviously, they have won the FA Cup and come close in the Premier League, but what they did against Real Madrid is one step closer in getting more players attracted to the club during the summer as well.
  49. It’s an exciting time for them and I do hope they get over that hurdle, because it will make the Premier League so exciting next season.

  52. After about 18 months where it seemed he could do no wrong, Cole Palmer has now gone 15 games without a goal in all competitions.
  53. Chelsea could do with the attacking midfielder rediscovering his best form with the battle for the Champions League places really hotting up.
  54. I have a feeling today could be the day he ends his drought… mainly because, after keeping faith him for far longer than I should have, I finally transferred him out of my fantasy team this week. You’re welcome, Cole…
