GT vs DC Live Score, IPL 2025: Axar Patel, Ashutosh Sharma power Delhi Capitals to 203/8 against Gujarat Titans

17:45 (IST) Apr 19

Right then, Gujarat Titans will be pleased with the job they did with the ball under the scorching heat, and now a lot will rest on their top three to chase down this total. Whether the wicket slows down in the second innings remains to be seen, and Delhi Capitals will be hoping that is indeed the case. Back in a bit for the chase.

17:43 (IST) Apr 19

The Purple Cap holder, Prasidh Krishna, is in for a chat. Shares that the wicket was quite good to bat on, with the pace making it easy for the batters to settle in. Mentions that bowling was hard on this pitch. Adds that their fielding wasn’t good, including his own fielding, but eventually he feels they have restricted DC to a decent total. Shares that he was looking to hit the length, to use the pitch more, and it worked out well for him. Says that bowling the yorker was the only plan, because nothing else was working. States that playing a game is very different to practising as the intensity of a game is way too much. He feels this is the job they are required to do, and he feels they have done a decent job.

17:42 (IST) Apr 19

Just as Delhi were gearing up for a final flourish, both set batters were dismissed, halting their momentum at a crucial juncture. Ashutosh Sharma, however, chipped in with a brisk cameo that pushed the Capitals closer to the 200-mark. For Gujarat, Prasidh Krishna was the standout bowler, picking up four wickets. Though he conceded 41 runs in his four overs, his strikes proved vital in restricting DC to 203 on a good batting track.

17:39 (IST) Apr 19

Earlier, after being put into bat, Delhi Capitals got off to a flying start, but it was ultimately a story of squandered starts, particularly from their top three. Despite none of them converting their brisk knocks into something substantial, the tempo they set early on gave DC a solid platform. GT managed to pull things back in the middle overs before Axar Patel and Tristan Stubbs consolidated things with a vital 53-run stand for DC.

17:38 (IST) Apr 19

The Capitals do manage to go past the 200-mark, but they will feel they left a few runs out there, given the platform they had set for themselves. Only 15 runs came off the final two overs, and Gujarat Titans will be fairly pleased with how they closed out the innings.

GT vs DC Live Score: Gujarat Titans skipper shubman Gill won the toss and decided to field first against Delhi Capitals at Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad today.A top-of-the-table clash is on the cards as Gujarat Titans take on Delhi Capitals in a high-stakes IPL encounter at the Narendra Modi Stadium today. Delhi, with 10 points from six matches, sit at the top of the table and are brimming with confidence after a dramatic Super Over win against Rajasthan Royals. That victory was largely scripted by Mitchell Starc, whose pinpoint yorkers and calm under pressure made all the difference. The Australian left-arm pacer has looked lethal this season, leading Delhi’s pace attack with 10 wickets despite a slightly expensive economy. Gujarat, close behind with eight points, have leaned heavily on their top order — Shubman Gill, Sai Sudharsan, and Jos Buttler — who have consistently delivered with the bat. But their middle order has shown vulnerability when tested, something Delhi will look to exploit. On the other hand, Mohammed Siraj has been instrumental for GT with the ball, especially in the Powerplay, claiming 10 wickets at an economy of 8.50. He will be up against Delhi’s young openers, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Abishek Porel, who will need to dig deep. With quality spinners on both sides and form players peaking at the right time, the contest promises high drama and fine margins.
