FBI director Kash Patel orders hundreds of FBI agents to be transferred to Redstone Arsenal

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WAFF) – FBI director Kash Patel has ordered hundreds of FBI agents to be transferred from Washington, D.C. to Huntsville.

500 staffers got orders Friday morning to transfer to Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Reuters reports.

Another 1,000 will be transferred to a different field office.

According to Reuters, the bureau had over 9,000 employees in Washington as of June 2024.

FBI Director Kash Patel was sworn into the role on Friday.
