Ed Sheeran and Taylor Swift know each other all too well.
The “Shape of You” singer gave rare insight into his years-long friendship with the pop star on Wednesday.
“I see her when I see her,” the four-time Grammy winner, 34, told “Call Her Daddy” listeners. “I probably see her, like, four times a year.”

When the songwriters do see each other, Sheeran explained that they have “proper sit-down, six-hour catch-ups.”
He gushed, “I think that’s, like, a really nice way to do it.”
As for his favorite memories with Swift, Sheeran reflected on the time they spent touring together for her “Red” album in 2013 and 2014.

“I lived in Nashville, and she lived in Nashville,” he remembered. “And we used to fly to and from the gigs together and do all sorts of [stuff].
“I literally spent almost every single day with her for about six months,” Sheeran continued.
He also mentioned Swift, 35, while reflecting on how “nostalgic” it was to revisit old texts for recent court cases regarding copyright infringement lawsuits.

While the duo don’t often discuss their bond publicly, Sheeran did speak to Zane Lowe for Apple Music 1 in 2023 about their connection being like “therapy” for him.
“You’re actually talking to someone that genuinely gets it, that has all the things that you feel and have insecurities about and how other people treat you or how your family treats you, how your friends treat you,” he explained.
Sheeran noted at the time that he and Swift are “basically in the same sphere” of fame.

“She’s one of the only people that actually truly understands where I’m at,” Sheeran noted.
He gushed about having “long, long conversations” with the “Cruel Summer” singer.
The pair, notably, have collaborated on multiple hits over the years, including “End Game,” “Everything Has Changed,” “The Joker and The Queen” and “Run.”
