NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — The impact of Sunday’s storm has left damage and debris on many roads and homes across Middle Tennessee.
Danise Grice went to bed Sunday night not expecting this wake-up call, she tells FOX 17 News she was thrown out of bed by a tornado.
Grice said she was sound asleep before a tornado ripped through her home. As for her husband, she says he was putting the dogs in a bathroom and then fell into the crawl space.
Their daughter, Dani Grice, lives a few hundred feet away. She did not feel any impacts of the storm.
“We have two main barns and 37 horses that are all okay,” said Grice
The family tells us they are in high spirits because they are lucky to be alive.
For now, they are working on a new home. The front porch and main door were demolished along with almost everything else, only the master bedroom where Danice was sleeping remains.
