It’s time for St. John’s to take the court in the 2025 NCAA Tournament.
No. 2 seed St. John’s takes on the No. 15 seed Omaha Mavericks on Thursday night in Providence, Rhode Island.
This matchup is one of the four matchups in the West Region part of this year’s bracket.
Unsurprisingly, the Red Storm are a massive favorite over Omaha, who received an automatic bid when they won the Summit League on Mar. 9.
St. Johns, led by head coach Rick Pitino in his second season, are coming off of their own conference title, when they scored 57 second half points in a 82-66 win over the Bluejays in the Big East championship last Saturday night at Madison Square Garden, the first time the university has claimed the Big East crown in a quarter century (2000).

Now, Pitino is trying to lead the Red Storm to their first ever national championship in school history and their deepest run in March Madness since they made it to the Final Four 40 years ago in 1985.
